Sea surface radar backscatter simulation based on eigenvector decomposition
Résumé
A simulation of the radar backscatter from the complex sea surface has been established based on the eigenvector invariant property under rotations about the line of sight. The complex sea surface may have stationary or anchoring man-made targets as well as may be contaminated by surface covering layers such as oil spill. To better understand the scattering mechanism on the radar imagery from sea surface, we view the latter as a surface abnormal modulation (Mab) using a physical scattering method based on the target decomposition (TD) theorem.
