Résumé

The presentation deals with free space characterization of dielectric materials in the millimeter and sub-millimeter wave ranges (ie from the Ka to J bands). The method is applied to extract the permittivity of solid and non solid dielectric materials. For automotive radar application, a specific study on the rain effect on a radome is also presented.
